JUST IN TIME STOCKING FOR CROMBIE
Crombie, which has 13 outlets including House of Fraser concessions, uses just in time stock reordering to achieve the minimum amount of stock in its stores, at the right time. Daily reporting of sales figures to head office powers the system's replenishment and reordering modules, allowing Crombie's managers to react fast to meet changing customer demands.
Clever use of historical sales information allows buyers to best allocate and replenish stores where specific items sell well, and see optimum discount levels to set for sale times to ensure that stock moves through the business at the best rate.
